BJP Kisan Morcha State president Chigurupati Kumaraswamy has said that YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s ‘Rythu Paramesha Yatra’ is nothing but a pleasure trip under the guise of farmers’ outreach.“The farmers of Andhra Pradesh, who are still reeling under the impact of Cyclone Montha, feel deeply hurt by Mr. Jagan’s political drama,” Mr. Kumaraswamy said on Wednesday. When farmers in Kadapa, Nellore, Guntur, and East Godavari were in distress after losing their crops, Mr. Jagan was relaxing in his palace for 10 days. “Now, he suddenly appears with long convoys, blocking roads and inconveniencing the public in the name of farmers,” he alleged.Highlighting the “harsh realities” during Mr. Jagan’s rule from 2019 to 2024, Mr. Kumaraswamy said farmers had faced cyclones such as Fani, Gulab, Jawad, Nisarga, and Mandous.
